Cattus Island County Park - 1170 Cattus Island Blvd, Toms River has a trail system that is great for an easy hike. Designed to provide access to the most beautiful areas of the property, you can seek out the returning migratory songbirds or witness the osprey building her nest along the 1,500-foot boardwalk or on one of the other trails in this 500-acre Ocean County sanctuary.

Double Trouble State Park - 581 Pinewald Keswick Road, Bayville is an active cranberry farm and it also features a marked 1.5-mile loop and several miles of unmarked paths. Located on the eastern edge of the New Jersey Pine Barrens, the Nature Trail identifies 20 points of interest from endangered plants to native animals.
