Guides

Besides getting seed catalogs in the mail filled with dreams of my spring and summer garden, I also welcome on a cold winter day the newest edition of the New Jersey Travel Guide.

Of course, our 130 miles of beautiful sandy beaches are beloved but the guide will also give you information about our world-class arts and entertainment centers, attractions, historical sites and natural beauty for outdoor enthusiasts, plus accommodations, shopping and so much more!

I love using my GPS, but for an overall look at the Garden State, I still love holding a copy of the official New Jersey State Map from the Department of Transportation in my hands. It's a great way to take a bird's eye view of the state and its attractions and plan trips.

Request a guide to be delivered OR if you can't wait to get the travel guide and want to save a few trees, go with the online Digital Version or Download a version of the 2020 Travel Guide.

For the best digital experience, you can put the Visit New Jersey App on your smartphone. It highlights key attractions and experiences throughout the state. You can create a “favorites list” of places, activities and events and also discover new things to see and do based on your location. It will even give you directions on how to get there.

The Visit New Jersey app will help you find:

• Accommodations (Hotels, Motels, Inns, Bed & Breakfasts)
• Arts & Culture (Galleries, Museums, Performing Arts)
• Attractions (Amusement & Water Parks, Lighthouses)
• Beaches
• Campgrounds & RV Parks
• Casinos & Gaming
• Dining
• Events
• Historic Sites & Memorials
• Outdoors & Sports Recreation (Boating, Farms, Golfing, Parks)
• Shopping (Discount Outlets, Malls, Shopping Districts)
• Transportation
• Travel Information
