This image was sent in by a reader of the blog in Warren County who asked for identification.
It is difficult to get a sense of size here and the image is a bit fuzzy, but my guess is bobcat based on the ears and short tail. I know lots of readers would love for it to be that mythical Jersey Cougar but it is not one of those. We remain on the lookout for a jersey Cougar and the Jersey Devil too.
