Conserve Wildlife Foundation of New Jersey

This week we are featuring a number of resources from the Conserve Wildlife Foundation of New Jersey.  One of those resources is their Instagram account which regularly features beautiful photos of wildlife from our state. 

They also inform with some excellent infographics on individual species. These would be great to use in classrooms - and great for all of us to learn about a species.  https://instagram.com/wildlifenj



A good example of a less familiar species is the elusive Ground Skink which is a member of the lizard family. This is a small skink, slender and short of leg, measuring between 3 - 5½ inches. In 2016, the New Jersey Endangered and Nongame Advisory Committee recommended a Special Concern status for this species within the state.  read more
